Could be improved

It wasn't bad at all, to bad it doesn't respond exactly so you can't really play it well.
The notes weren't set from low to high, and the graphics were very boring.
Maybe add pre-played songs or something to make it more interesting to see what you can do.

Okay,

Well, it's a good tut as far as I can see, except that you can't really do anything with it.
You can do everything you say in your tut, then you'd have a basic rpg, but what next? If you don't know nothing, you haven't learned anything from this tutorial either thus making this tutorial quite useless.
Anyways, you put work in it, and the backgrounds were nice, I didn't like the music but you could put it off so that's alright.
Next time, try explaining all that stuff, because then you could actually learn something.

Staticblaze responds:

Okay, I DID explain, and that was a GREAT start for your own game. And why the hell did you give me a zero?

Well,

It's been done before SO MANY times and this wasn't any different, except for the sprites, which weren't bad, it's just that it's been done before so many times, and I still don't like the game.
It lacked some background music too.
Next time, come up with something original.

Nice

The graphics were, a little awkward, I know it is 3D and it's hard to do in flash, but there wasn't enough detail to the characters/surroudings that let me say 'wow'. The animation wasn't all that good, it didn't matter where you shot the baddies, they always fall in the same way.
I liked to choose directions, I liked add of civillians to make it a little more then just brainless shooting. The motorcycle was very nice too.
The sound was nice too.
Next time, maybe try to add different weapons, maybe a smoother duck/shoot system (hold to duck, like the time crisis games)
I have never played Virtual Police Stage in the arcades or anything so I can't compare.
Anyways, good job.

fungus-shark408 responds:

They DONT always fall in the same way... I dont know what you were doing, but they die differently depending on where they're shot, in 7 different locations...

Won't work

This won't work, he'll decompile it and remove the actionscript, or that particular frame. Lame tutorial.

Scotttheskaterr responds:

The creator of animator vs animation. had a different code that alerted him that it was being posted on a website. Mr. Ebaum didnt delete that code.

So how do explain that?

Bad,

It's the same as the previous ones.

I can teach you how to make a sound thingie with choosing what sound & turning it off.
PM Me if you want to know how, I'll gladly teach you.

LuckyLollipopLad responds:

1) I don't understand why you think #2 and 3 are worth 4 points less than #1. Are the questions worse? Because as far as I can see, I only made improvements.

2) It's not the same. It's similar, but as I said, answers now appear in a random order and the 28 questions are all-new.

3) I'll be concentrating on sound for #4. Cheers for the offer of teaching me. I've got Colin Moock's AS book though, which is awesome and will use that.

4) Why aren't you bothering to tell me your scores for the newer ones? It helps me know how folk find the difficulty.

Thanks an awful lot for the kind offer though and for letting me know some of your thoughts.

Stay funky,

Well,

it wasn't much of an improvement, just some more questions, you need to ADD SOUND!
go to File, Import To library, select the sound, at the stage press CTRL + L bring in the sound, and at the replay button put
stopAllSounds(); in it so the sounds won't play together...

LuckyLollipopLad responds:

Cheers. Thanks for the info, even though I happened to be aware of that.

When I add sound, I'd rather it was a bit better done though... I like the idea of folk being able to turn it down or turn it off.

Not bad

It was a nice quiz, I got 7/10 on the first try, got the three 'history' questions wrong, (when was NG originated, what was it back then, in what Flash was Pico made) but hey, I learned something.

Too bad there's no sound.

LuckyLollipopLad responds:

You didn't know it was a Neo Geo fanzine? Tut tut.

Good job though.

I'll try and put in sound for the next edition.

Stay funky!

Not bad

This was the first Snake clone here on NG, that I actually kinda liked. The snake grew fast, so it got interesting fast, also you used a nice tile system, which is nice too. The snake reacted great, you could easily make a u-turn right next to yourself which is quite handy.

Don't count yourself great though, it's still a very simple game, no score system, just one level etc.

It's just nice for a start.

Needs tweaking

The graphics are great, in 3D. However, the lack of sound is not good. Turning goes very slow too, and you need to turn a lot especially when you hit the ball OVER the flag, and that can happen quite a lot becuase its hard to determine speed on distance.

You need to tweak it some more to really have a good game.

HAHA!
